Welcome to St. Paul’s!
![]() Who we are…St. Paul’s is a part of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Our purpose statement is to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ,” and since 1904 we have been about that task here in Bay Head.
Whether you are a long-time member, new to the area and are looking for a church home, or are new to the faith and are “checking it out”, we’re glad you’re here! We embody the United Methodist slogan, “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.”
Feel free to chat with the Pastor (pastor.scott@stpaulsbayhead.org), our ushers and greeters, or any one of the worship leaders regarding any questions that you may have. And once again, “Welcome!”
![]() What we believe…
Briefly stated, we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that Jesus came to earth and led a perfect life, yet died for our sins in order that through faith in him we would be reconciled with God and have a place in heaven. In response to God’s love for us, we endeavor to live our lives according to Jesus’ teachings, as we are led by God’s Holy Spirit.

Our Mission...
St. Paul’s exists for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ and all that we do needs to lead us to that end, that is to SHARE the love of Jesus Christ with all persons within our sphere of influence, both individually and corporately; to CARE for and nurture the souls which God has entrusted to us, both those who attend worship and those who are homebound, as well as our neighbors around the block and around the world; and to PREPARE ourselves to be in God’s mission by being in worship, fellowship, prayer, and the study of God’s word.
![]() Connections…
John Wesley and the early Methodists were concerned about inviting people to experience God’s grace and to grow in their knowledge and love of God through disciplined Christian living and putting faith and love into action.
This spirit continues today, and with an emphasis on worship, Christian education for all ages, mission, and outreach, St. Paul’s offers a variety of ministries and settings in which we can connect and grow together on our lifelong faith journey.
