David Geller

Pastor

Pastor David has just joined St. Paul’s as a fulltime Pastor.

David is a lifelong United Methodist who deeply loves God and People. David graduated with his Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He also holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in social work from Stockton University with a concentration in clinical Social Work. David is commissioned as a Provisional Elder. 

David is passionate about the sacraments and relationships because we serve a relational God who did not remain distant from us but drew close to us in the person of Jesus Christ, who meets us where we are. He could not be more excited to walk the journey of life and faith with the people of St. Paul’s UMC Bay Head.

In his free time, he loves spending time with his family and friends, watching Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles and the Phillies. David also loves traveling and a good cup of coffee.

Bruce Hillner

Lay Leader

Bruce lives in Brick Township near the beach.  He is recently widowed, has worked in the computer engineering field his whole adult life, is partially retired, and enjoying life with his two children, their spouses, and his three grandchildren.  His hobbies include ballroom dancing and just spending time sitting on the beach reading. He has served in various Methodist churches as a Lay Servant since 2001 and held leadership positions within the ecumenical "Walk to Emmaus" ministry.  Bruce accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in November 1987 and tries to walk in a way that can lead others to a saving grace.

Samantha Rose

Administrative Assistant

When you call our church office or stop by St. Paul's during our normal business hours you will be greeted by our administrative assistant, Sam.  Sam was born and raised in Toms River and is a life-long United Methodist herself. She lived in Florida for over three years working at Walt Disney World and recently moved back to New Jersey, so she is excited to start this new adventure. In her free time, she loves to travel and drink iced espresso drinks!
